Covenant

There’s an African proverb that says, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” If following Jesus is a life-long journey that we walk one step at a time, how do we go far together? We covenant ourselves to one another. Covenants required faithfulness, commitment, and love. We walk far together when we are willing to humbly commit ourselves to one another, be faithful through difficulties, and love one another unconditionally, being ready to forgive as God has forgiven us through the New Covenant He made in Jesus Christ.
